IN THIS LESSON

Gain a high-level overview of the judging procedure.

First, go to the judge’s room 30 minutes before the tournament starts to check in with the tournament staff. The link to the judge’s room is available on the tournament home page on the bottom left side.

15 minutes before the round begins, you will receive your electronic ballot (eBallot) in your e-mail. If you are scheduled for a round at 8:00AM, you will receive your ballot at 7:45AM.

The email will have the event name, the time the round begins, and a link to your e-ballot. When you click Accept the Ballot, your eBallot will open in a new tab.

Make sure to accept the ballot as soon as you receive it, or it will be sent to another judge on stand by. If you did not receive a ballot for the scheduled round time, please stay in the judge’s room. A ballot that has not been accepted may be given to you instead.

When the ballot opens, you can go through the ballot tutorial to review how to use the ballot (the tutorial will be covered in depth in a later lesson).

Click ‘Live Video Room’ on the ballot to open the video conferencing room. This is where you will administer the round. Please keep your camera on when you are judging. Encourage the competitors in the round to also keep their cameras on.

Fill out the feedback form for each competitor as they perform. After all the competitors are finished, fill out the ranks. When the round is over, review your final ranks and finalize your ballot.

Please stay in the video room until you finish submitting your ballot. You will see a page with palm trees, sunset, and confetti when you have successfully submitted the ballot.

You can always add more feedback after you submit your ballot by clicking Add Additional Feedback.
